Primary 7
Welcome to Primary 7
The adults in our room are Mr Knight and Mr Clarke
In Primary 7 at Fort Hill Integrated Primary School, we encourage our pupils to "Finish Well" by embracing their role as the senior pupils in the school. As role models for younger children, they are encouraged to demonstrate maturity, a strong work ethic and excellent manners, preparing them for the exciting transition to post-primary education.
The year begins with our PDMU topic, "All About Me", where pupils explore their identity, strengths and aspirations through engaging activities such as"Inside My Head". Alongside our main World Around Us topic, The Victorians, pupils enjoy a range of exciting mini-topics including Foxes and Bird Migration, helping to develop their curiosity and understanding of the world around them. Creativity is celebrated through a variety of artistic experiences, including our vibrant and imaginative Onomatopoeia Art Project.
As the year progresses, pupils delve into the global themes of Fairtrade and the fascinating history of theTitanic, while also exploring the lives, works and lasting influence of C.S. Lewis and William Shakespeare. These topics provide rich opportunities for research, discussion, creativity and critical thinking.
As pupils approach the end of their primary school journey, there is a strong focus on preparing for "Big School", building confidence and resilience for the next stage of their education. We also take time to reflect on their years at Fort Hill, celebrating achievements, friendships and the many core memories that have shaped their primary school experience.
Primary 7 is a year of leadership, learning, reflection and celebration as our pupils strive to finish well and leave Fort Hill ready to spread their wings and thrive.
