Welcome to our Book Club page

Mrs Elliott takes Book Club on Mondays 3.00-4.00pm

The Book Club is to target those children who enjoy reading. The group will have a 'Group Book' they read each week and also have a book to take home to read a few chapters of.

The children will look at fiction, non-fiction and true story books. Discuss the characters and their feelings, story lines and much more.

Mrs Elliott works closely with Waterstone's Lisburn who provide the

books.

The P5 and P6 group have now finished 'Booke Club.  These are just some of the reviews they wrote:

One book Jenna P5 read was:

Seawigs by Philip Reeve

Rating: 10/10

Olivers mum and dad were crazy about exploring.  They moved into a new house and Oliver went into a boat and he heard a noise behind him.

Recommend this book: YES

Captainunderpantscover.jpgOne book Joshua P5 read was:

Captain Underpants by Dav Pilkey

Rating: 10/10

The funny bit was when Captain Underpants stole somebodys washing and he stole some underpants as well.

Recommend this book: YES

One book Nikita P6 read was:

In the Fast Lane by Digby O'Day

Rating: 10/10

I like the characters Dixie and Percy.  They always had car trouble but always seemed to get it fixed just at the right time, as they were helpful.  They had the luck of winning the race and Louella who wasn't helpful lost the race.

Recommend this book: YES
