In June we were invited to visit and help out at Hilden Community Garden.
Mrs Jones had applied for and won the opportunity for us to work alongside Royal Horticultural Society's Schools Champion, Sharon McMaster. We were very glad of Sharon's expert advice and help.
We were also joined by members of the Hilden Community Association and LCCC Councillors James Baird and Jonathan Craig.
The sun was shining and we had lots of jobs to do...
Digging...
Planting...
...Watering

Welcome to Primary 3
September October
Our Topic has been Houses and Homes.
We have been learning about different types of homes,
in our locality and around the world.
We also learned about homes and life in the past,
before people had electricity.
Here are some pictures of us hard at work during
Activity Based Learning.

Celebrating our Differences
We are all DIFFERENT
but we are all SPECIAL.
We talked about how we all have different faces,
different families and different skin colours.
We come from different countries, celebrate different festivals and speak different languages.
All these things make our school a much more interesting place to live and learn.
We used some magazines to make collages celebrating
how we are all different.
We talked about different religions.
We couldn't make a poster from this magazine about different religions because often it is difficult to tell.
We talked about how even though we are all different we can learn to respect each other and learn from each other.
