The Very Hungry Caterpillar
The Very Hungry Caterpillar is a story about the life cycle of a butterfly. The story starts with a little egg on a leaf laid by a butterfly. A little caterpillar hatches out of the egg and starts to eat and eat and eat. He then makes a cocoon which he stays in for over 2 weeks and emerges as a beautiful butterfly. We did lots of activities on this story - we made a caterpillar out of circles, sequenced the life cycle of the butterfly, made caterpillar masks and painted butterflies and caterpillars.
Sofia was very kind and brought some butterflies she found for us to have a look at. They were very pretty and colourful. Thank you Sofia!
