GROUPS FOR NEW P5 CLASS

STARTING END OF AUGUST 2020

Based on the current guidance, these are the groups for the start of the new school year. Guidance is changing all the time, so this plan could well change between now and then! Thank-you for your understanding as we try to get everyone back safely.
Week 14 School Closure (beginning Monday 22nd June)
Week 13 SCHOOL CLOSURE (Week beginning Monday 15th June)
Week 12 School Closure ( Week beginning Monday 8th June)
Week 11 School Closure (beginning Monday 1st June)
Week 10 School Closure (beginning Monday 25th May)
Week 9 School Closure (beginning Monday 18th May)
Week 8 school closure (Week beginning Monday 11th May)
Week 7 School Closure (Week beginning Monday 4th May)
Week 6 of school closure- beginning Monday 27th April

Week 5 of school closure- beginning Monday 20th April.

Remember, this work builds on previous work so it's important to make sure week 1 and week 2 are completed (particularly the spelling, tables, weight and data handling) before starting week 5.

WEEK 3 OF CLOSURE- EASTER HOLIDAY

(Joe Wicks PE lesson every morning at 9am on his YouTube channel)

There are documents below with ideas of activities to help keep your child focused during the Easter holidays. Nothing on these sheets is compulsory, although I'd strongly recommend continuing reading every day. Please use the time to catch up on the Week 1 and Week 2 activities if you have fallen behind. Feel free to send work in using Seesaw when it is completed.

Week 2- beginning Monday 30th March (Keep doing the live PE lessons with Joe Wicks at 9am every morning on Youtube!)

As these lessons are building on each other, please ensure Week 1 activities (Most important- Spelling, tables, Data Handling, Weight lessons, and Egypt page) are complete before starting Week 2. Otherwise you and your child will start to get confused. The weekend could be used to catch up on any parts you have missed. I'm attaching the spelling lists too in case they get lost.

GREAT WEBSITES TO USE DURING THE SCHOOL CLOSURE BELOW!

We celebrated World Book Day on Thursday 5th March by sharing a story with our little friends in P1! We were learning to use expression, project our voices and maintain the interest of our listeners. We had a great time and hope to visit again soon.

On Thursday 6th February, we went to the Linen Centre to do a workshop. We have been learning about Inventions and we made creations from recycled materials. We had lots of fun and used our imaginations.
